Chipola Honors Program Hosts FSU Graduate Student Panel

The Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ Honors Program recently welcomed four guest speakers from Florida State University to discuss graduate study in the biological sciences.
FSU graduate students Katherine Bilodeau and Jared Holcomb represented the Cell and Molecular Biology concentration, while Jake Beretta and Marilla Lippert shared perspectives from the Ecology and Evolution concentration. All four speakers are currently pursuing master’s or doctoral degrees.
The panel provided Honors students with insight into graduate school, including research expectations, coursework, mentorship, and professional development. Speakers also discussed their academic paths, application processes, and career planning.
Despite demanding schedules, the speakers took time to offer guidance for Chipola Honors students considering advanced education.
